Our documentary hits the spotlight this week!
The Relapsing Polychondritis (RP) Foundation is pleased to announce the Culver City Film Festival will be hosting a screening of director Roy Medawar’s documentary, The Race of Our Lives.
The film, which follows 2015’s RP: The Ride of My Life, tracks the evolution of the RP Foundation and its initiatives from awareness to research in parallel with RP patient and Foundation Chair Nancy Linn’s mission to push forward for greater knowledge, better clinical care, and hopefully, a cure, for the rare autoimmune disease relapsing polychondritis.
Through interviews with family, friends, advocates, ambassadors, patients with RP, clinicians, and researchers from renowned institutions across the country including the National Institutes of Health, Allegheny Health Network Autoimmunity Institute, Penn RP Program at the University of Pennsylvania, New York University’s Grossman School of Medicine, and the University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, viewers are given a deeper understanding of the importance and urgency of collaborative research, particularly for autoimmune diseases, and the progress currently being fueled by the RP Foundation’s efforts.
Featuring acclaimed singer, songwriter, and producer Denise Stefanie’s original track, “I Will Fight,” the film recognizes a body of notable motorsports figures and ambassadors who have contributed to greater awareness and support for relapsing polychondritis and invites everyone to join the race.
The Race of Our Lives is being screened at the Cinemark Howard Hughes Los Angeles located at 6081 Center Drive, Los Angeles, California, on Thursday, December 7, 2023, at 10AM in Theater 8. Tickets can be purchased at https://www.culvercityfilmfestival.com/.
