2023 SILO Race for Research Event

It was an amazing Indianapolis 500 VIP Race Weekend Kickoff to benefit Relapsing Polychondritis (RP) and related autoimmune disease research.

This private event was hosted by former F1/INDYCAR driver/broadcaster Derek Daly and Kevin Lee of NBC Sports at the SILO AutoClub and Conservancy.

Ticket holders mingled with motorsports dignitaries and former drivers! They also had the opportunity to hear from NYU researcher, Dr. David Beck, to learn how the RP Foundation’s financial support of his work led to the discovery of a new autoimmune disease (VEXAS) as well as other autoimmune-related scientific discoveries!

Guests also had the chance to hone their racing skills using professional simulators- all while enjoying live music provided by country/rock singer and Indiana native, Clayton Anderson.

This thrilling, one-of-a-kind fundraising event, raised over $26,000 to help the RP Foundation continue fueling RP and related autoimmune disease research.
