Race for RP’s founder, Nancy Linn, has been a catalyst of change in the community! She is a champion for facilitating research working to uncover the underlying cause and develop better treatments for RP.
As an RP patient herself, Nancy is dedicated to helping other patients with this devastating disease. She understands the struggle firsthand, as she went from having a healthy, active lifestyle to struggling with deteriorating health due to RP. For Nancy, it is a family effort: her husband, Neil Langberg, is a Race for RP driver and her brother, Mike Linn, is also a strong advocate for RP research.
In dealing with RP or any other serious illness, it it important to find the things that give you optimism and make you happy. Nancy says,
“Motorsports help me overcome the hopelessness of such an incurable and rare disease.”
And that is exactly why we do what we do at Race for RP and the Relapsing Polychondritis Foundation!
The Relapsing Polychondritis Foundation and Race for RP are pleased to support research initiatives that provide hope to RP patients and their families. To help fund crucial research, please donate by visiting give.polychondritis.org.
