Thank you to all our guests who came out to the Relapsing Polychondritis Researchers and Friends Reception at the Chicago Firehouse Restaurant, Kimball Parlor. It was an incredible evening and we were truly honored to have such a dynamic group focusing on and discussing relapsing polychondritis and the programs that support research and awareness. We’re glad we had a chance to share more about our foundation as well as how the Race for RP plays a key role in driving awareness, and accelerating research.
We would like to recognize Dr. Peter Grayson from the National Institutes of Health (NIH) for sharing his insights with our guests as well as Dr. Joe Ahearn from the Allegheny Health Network’s Autoimmunity Institute for his moving presentation about autoimmune disease and his bold vision for a path forward.
We would especially like to thank Dr. Marcela Ferrada from the National Institute of Arthritis and Musculoskeletal and Skin Diseases for taking the time to speak and present at our reception. Your research is truly compelling and your passion for your work is inspiring.
Dr. Ferrada received the Distinguished Fellow Award from the American College of Rheumatology during this years ACR Conference and she also gave a presentation on relapsing polychondritis during the ACR Annual Meeting on Wednesday October 25, 2018.
